Rajma Masala

As i mentioned ystrday, mom's out of town and I got a chance again to experiment! Tried out jeera rice with rajma masala! Check it out! :)

Rajma Masala

Ingrediants:
1 tsp butter
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp cumin seeds/jeera
1 tsp garam masala pdr
4 clove garlic
1 tsp ginger
4 number green chilies
1 tsp kastoori methi pdr (optional)
3 tbsp Oil
3 onions, finely chopped
1 cup red kidney beans/rajma
Salt to taste
3 tomatoes small

Method:
1.Soak the red kidney beans overnight.
2.Next day, cook in a pressure cooker till about 5-6 whistles. The beans should be split but not mashed up.
3.Heat the oil. Drop cumin seeds. When they splutter add onions and after a while add ground garam masala.Add the grounded ginger-garlic paste.
4. Add the water drained out from the cooked rajma. Please don use fresh water as it will spoil the taste.
5. Drop 1.5 tsp of coriander powder, chopped tomatoes and green chilles.
6. Add some more rajma water and bring it to boil and close the lid.



7. When all ingrediants are mashed up well, add the rajma beans. Add salt and a bit of chilli powder.
8. Add butter a bit. Close lid and cook for 15 mins9. Garnish with coriander.
