Aloo Bonda

Mum prepared masala dosa this morning and then left for some relative's ceremony out of town. So that means, i havta cook :)) . When mum is around, dad generally eats wat she cooks with absolutely not tantrums ok?. But as soon as she leaves dad manages to coax me into doing stuff he likes. This way he doesnt get to hear "Oh! am tired of cooking for u since 30 yrs" and also gets to munch on this fav food, which is generally bajjis n bondas n oily stuff ;-)))
So i prepared aloo bonda for him, which he happily ate with my bele saaru during lunch :)

Ingrediants:

Left over Potato Sabji which was used for masala dosa. Ive never done this thing, so not sure how one makes it. Will post the recipe sometime later in future.
Oil to deep fry.

For Batter to dip:
Kadle Ittu/Channa Dal Flour - 1 cup
Red Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pinch of Soda
Water as required.

Method:
1. Make the batter adding water. Please take care not to add too much.
2. Roll the potato sabji into small tennis shapped balls (as in below pic)

3. Heat Oil. After a while put a drop of batter to test if its at the right temp. If the drop of batter floats with bubbles around and whooshy noice, means its a good time to drop the rest.
4. Dip the potato balls in the batter and slowly drop one by one into the oil.
5. As it turns brown, remove and press some tissue over it to remove excess oil.

Tats hot hot bonda for dad :)
